Welcome to Adept Nutrition Care. My name is Louise and I am a Brisbane, Queensland-based Dietitian Nutritionist, Accredited Nutritionist and Weight Management Coach, working in Private Practice and across various Brisbane Hospitals and Health Services.

I listen and I care. Let’s work together to establish healthy eating habits that meet your health goals, budget, lifestyle and personal preferences.

Qualified dietitians have undertaken a 4 year course of study that has included supervised and assessed professional practice in public health nutrition, medical nutrition therapy and food service management. So, why is an expert Bariatric Dietitian an essential part of your team?

We are trained to understand the specific needs of a patient before and after surgery including how to obtain nutrients essential for good health.

We guide you through the before and after surgery dietary phases. We are aware of the nutritional implications of bariatric surgeries include the ability or inability to sufficient fuel your body with the necessary nutrients to achieve your health and weight management goals, the speed of which you can eat, the types of food you can eat, food behaviours, and liquid vs. solid meals.

We provide recommendations for food choices, portion sizes and eating behaviours, ensuring you maintain a nutritious diet specific for your choice of surgery.

We assist patients in developing practical meal ideas, menu planning and shopping, and quick and easy food preparation methods to help make their diets more interesting, enjoyable, and importantly, nutritious.

We help you to realise your weight management goals and provide techniques to help prevent weight regain. See my Services page for more detail.

I am passionate about supporting people (who have taken this big step), to achieve their goals and be as healthy as possible for the rest of their lives.

I always tailor consults to YOUR individual needs, ensuring each of my clients walk away with specialised information relating directly to their circumstances.

I consider everything from medical and nutritional needs, eating habits, food preferences, as well as your social and work life before we formulate a plan that will see you get the most out of your weight management surgery.

Knowing that some people have difficulty accessing support due to location, time or cost I offer a telehealth (phone or video) service Australia-wide.

To support you on this journey I offer a special all-inclusive Bariatric Package for clients undergoing surgery. Contact me today to ask about these packages or individual services.
